Meet our founder
I started Adaptive Ecosystems Consulting after nearly two decades working across government and private sector organisations, because I kept seeing the same pattern play out.
Leaders are doing their best with the systems they’ve inherited, but those systems aren’t always designed to support the people inside them. Strategies make sense on paper, yet are hard to deliver in practice. Change programs move quickly, often at a real human cost.
I wanted to work differently.
Across my career, I’ve supported organisational change, capability uplift and system-level improvement. Over time, it became clear that most challenges aren’t caused by a lack of effort or commitment — they’re caused by misalignment. Between strategy and operations. Between intent and experience. Between what leaders are trying to achieve and what people are actually living day to day.
Adaptive Ecosystems Consulting exists to bridge that gap.
Our work is grounded in the belief that organisations are living systems. When strategy, operations, capability, culture, leadership and stakeholder relationships are aligned, people can do their best work — and better outcomes follow.
Everything we do is guided by our core principles:
Holistic — we look at organisations as interconnected ecosystems, not isolated problems to be fixed
Inclusive — we actively seek out diverse perspectives and lived experience, because they reveal what data alone often can’t
Adaptive — we design approaches that respond to real conditions, not idealised models
Resilient — we focus on building lasting capability, not short-term fixes
In practice, our role is to listen carefully, gather evidence, identify patterns and translate complexity into practical, achievable action. Leaders often tell us they value having someone who can reflect back what’s really happening — clearly, calmly and without oversimplifying — and help them decide what to do next.
That’s the work we care about, and that’s why Adaptive Ecosystems Consulting exists.

Our unique approach
A practical way to make sense of complexity
Modern organisations are complex systems. Change in one area always creates ripple effects in another.
The Ecosystem Mindset is a our own practical framework we use to help leaders visualise their organisation as an interconnected system driven by a central purpose — and make better decisions as a result.
This framework looks at four interconnected spheres:
Strategy & Operations
Culture & Capability
Staff & Stakeholders
People Leadership & Strategic Leadership
By understanding the tensions between these spheres, leaders can:
diagnose organisational challenges
balance competing priorities
identify risks and opportunities
align strategy and operations
make informed choices grounded in evidence, not assumptions.
This framework shapes how we think about the problems our clients face, and allows us to generate insights that get to the heart of an issue. This is what makes our recommendations actionable, achievable and measurable so you can track their impact over time.
